“I’ll do my best not to disappoint you, but you wanted to investigate this…” Inspector Zhang gave her a glance and stopped his sentence midway.
Understanding what he meant, she took a deep breath as she looked at the golden fields. “You should’ve noticed the importance of this information. I don’t know what else I can do, so I want to try my best.”
“I didn’t expect the truth to be something like this. I understand your concern.”
Xi Xiaye felt like her burden had been lifted slightly. “I’m getting sick of the rumors and gossip. I always knew that rumors could be really scary, and now I can truly feel the impact of it.”
“That’s the power of rumors. Try to get over it,” he replied humorously.
Xi Xiaye took a look at the time and noticed it was getting late. “It’s not that easy. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be so many tragedies around the world. Alright, I suppose I should take my leave, I still need to head over to Glory World, I’ll leave this matter in your hands. Do call me anytime if you need anything or if there are any updates. Inspector Zhang let out a puff and nodded as he waved as Xi Xiaye turned around and left the field. “Goodbye!”
