The blonde Doctor Harrison smiled at Shen Wenna, speaking in fluent English, “Madam Shen, you can open your eyes now. Open them slowly. Lisha, go and pull the curtains open a little.”
“Okay,” the nurse responded, and then slowly walked over to pull open half of the curtains, leaving only a small gap.
“Wenna, Doctor Harisson says you can open your eyes now. Open them slowly to get used to the light in the room. That’s right. Slowly…” Xi Mushan said to Shen Wenna.
Shen Wenna then nodded gently, still holding Xi Mushan’s hand tightly as she slowly opened her eyes.
She only felt a strong light suddenly streaming in, making her wince in slight pain. Then came the blurry scenes before her that slowly shifted clear. Shen Wenna blinked and subconsciously looked at the light that was pouring in from the window. After she got used to it for a while, she could finally see clearly!
