At the dining table, she was used to flipping through the newspapers. When she saw the feature and reports on Yue Lingsi, she was stunned for quite a while. She quickly looked up at the man who was elegantly eating across her before she pursed her lips slightly and stared at him for quite a while.
Mu Yuchen could feel her gaze from across, so he subconsciously looked up and met her questioning eyes. With a chuckle, he asked, “What is it? Why are you looking at me like that? There aren’t any flowers on my face.”
She raised her brows, and then waved the newspaper in her hand as she asked, “Did you do this?”
“What? What did I do?” He smiled calmly as he reached out to take the newspaper from her. He opened it up and looked at it indifferently before quietly setting it aside.
When he did not answer, she repeated softly again, “I’m asking you a question!”
“Do I look like such a despicable person?” He smiled casually, yet his gaze seemed a little odd, and unfathomable. She could not read him.
She rolled her eyes and responded calmly, “I do think you look like the cat that ate canary!”
When he heard her accusation, he instantly chuckled and casually continued softly, “I didn’t know that I had such a bad image in Missus’s eyes, but since you think so, I might as well tell you that someone as despicable and shameless as me thinks that this little lesson is too easy on her.”
