Xi Xiaye watched the car with Su Chen and the others inside drive away as she asked, “Is it really okay for us to trick them like this?”
“What’s wrong? If they are really here to mess things up, we’re not going to get our own time tonight at all!”
Before she could react, he left the car swiftly and opened the door on her side. He lifted her up in his arms as he walked back to their room.
He put her down on the sofa right as soon as they arrived at the room. Then, he poured her a glass of water before taking her shoes off. As he expected, her toes had become a little swollen, probably from standing the whole night.
She moved her feet away awkwardly when she saw him staring at them. Glancing at him, she mumbled, “I’ve been standing for too long. I didn’t know having a wedding can be this tiring.”
“How relaxing did you think it’d be?”
Xi Xiaye lowered her head and drank some of the water. Then, she put the glass aside and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Her eyes were filled with stars and glitter as she peered at him ardently. “The wedding today was really romantic and beautiful. I loved it. Thank you, Mr. Mu!”
“Anything for you, Mrs. Mu.”
He looked at her smile and enjoyed the grateful glance from her. His heart softened like cotton candy as his hands wrapped around her slender body uncontrollably. His strength was so great that their body almost merged into each other’s. He lowered his head and left a kiss on her warm, pink lips.
