Chapter 43: Divide, Enter, Kill
As Irsted continued his onslaught at the front gate, he glanced to the side.
He spotted Trish, Corven, and Rose already making their move toward the compound.
"Perfect..."
He muttered with a grin, the chaos fully underway now.
With the distraction complete, the next step was simple:
Survive—and hold out as long as possible.
CLANG.
Three vampires lunged at once. Irsted’s massive greatsword intercepted all their blades with a resounding clash.
"Shit...!" he cursed, feeling the weight behind the combined strike.
More enemies rushed from the sides, aiming for his open flank.
SHLICK. SLASH. SKRITCH.
Multiple blades struck true—but not in the way they expected. Irsted had taken the hits directly with his free hand, blood now dripping from fresh gashes.
