The next morning...
Leo’s eyes slowly fluttered open to the sound of Sarah’s voice, bright and excited on her iPhone...
"Papa, Mama... I promise I’ll visit soon... Okay... I know... hmm. I love you, Papa, Mama... okay... I’ll call you back... bye!" She noticed him stir and turned, a wide smile lighting up her face...
"Babe, good morning!" She leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to his head... "My mom and dad just called! It’s their anniversary next week, and they want us to visit."
"Okay, babe... I’ll make time... but first, we need to be done with this anime party," Leo murmured sleepily, still half-asleep as he sat up...
Sarah playfully pinched his cheek. "Babe, it’s an anime convention, not a party!" She sighed, standing up from the bed. "Come on, let’s get dressed! It’s today, and we can’t be late... otherwise, the gates will be closed."
She stretched, yawning, before heading to the kitchen. Tying on an apron, and started washing the dirty dishes... "Babe, we need to get going if we want to beat the crowds."
Leo leaned back down on the bed. "Just give me one minute..."
"Babe!" Sarah’s voice rang out from the kitchen...
"I’m up, I’m up!" Leo practically sprang out of bed, still staggering a bit and rubbing his eyes... He scratched his pubic hair before heading to get the vacuum cleaner... He quickly vacuumed the living area, arranged his gaming pads scattered on the floor, and then took out the trash... By the time he returned, Sarah was setting the table with a plate of scrambled eggs and bread. "Babe, I’m done." She took off her apron.
Leo sat down at the dining table, but something felt off...
"Babe, I’m going to take my bath," Sarah uttered...
