Alira’s heart skipped a bit as she panicked. She turned to Rael, her eyes wide. "My mom." She knew well what disaster could happen if her mom found out about her relationship with a non noble. Rael of all people would be the one to suffer it, he could be secretly assassinated too, the queen was that cruel.
She quickly turned back to the door, "Tell her I’m taking a bath and I’ll be out soon." Then she faced Rael again, "where are your shoes?"
He pointed to the floor beside the door. Alira nodded, "Good, now for how long can you remain under water? Or...." She looked around, trying to find a place he could hide, and her eyes lit up when she found one,"can you hide there? Please." Her voice was desperate but soft.
While she was panicking, Rael’s gaze was fixed on her, admiring her wet features. Her hair sticking to her face, her plump red lips, her golden eyes and fluttering eye lashes. God she was a goddess.
"Are you listening to me? I said hide damn it." Her scolding voice snapped him out of his thoughts, it was then he got out of the water and reached for his clothes laying on the floor.
"Take your shoes too" she ordered, he reached for his shoes and hurried to hide behind the red silk curtain at the other side of the room which was supposed to be the toilet. It was kept extremely clean and the aroma of roses filled the place. There, he began wearing his clothes.
Alira stepped out of the pool, and her legs trembled slightly as she walked, her cheeks flushed bright when she realized the reason. She reached for her robe hanging nearby and pulled it over her body. Her nipples were still erect from the cold air and pointed through the soft fabric.
She reached for the door, then looked back to make sure Rael wasn’t visible before she finally opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom.
"Mother? I’m out." She called as she walked into her room, there, her mom sat elegantly on the floor in front of a small table Alira usually sat to study, and sometimes eat.
