Chapter 16: Evylin’s Residence
That night, Oliver left his house.
He didn’t change his clothes—still wearing loose fabric pants, since he still struggled to put on jeans because of his injuries.
Once he reached the main road, he hailed a taxi heading to Heaven Garden Complex, located in the city center.
It wasn’t a new complex, but rather a well-known residential area—home to Manchester’s true elites for centuries.
The taxi only dropped him off at the front gate. It couldn’t enter, and there was no alternative entrance since the entire complex was surrounded by tall walls.
More than ten security guards stood watch at the gate.
Oliver approached one of them and asked, "I’d like to visit my teacher’s house. May I go in?"
The security guard he asked looked confused upon hearing that.
He couldn’t help but ask, "Who is your teacher?"
"Sir, if you want to enter, you must provide proof of permission from one of the residents inside the complex. Please show me your identification card. I’ll check if you’ve been granted access," another guard came over and explained.
Of course, Oliver had no problem showing his ID card—now a Cultivator Identity Card.
However, the guard didn’t seem to care much.
