Princess Laurel reached the border and Finn jumped down the roofs to open the gates for her.
Laurel noticed that they had installed a new gate that was studied and she wondered if it was to stop the lycan attacks. She faced the boy with a smile. "Good morning."
"Good morning evening, Princess." Finn replied enthusiastically, then he frowned a bit and asked. "You are not with that creepy knight today?"
The Princess chuckled. "He had his own problems." She said that even if she knew she was that problem.
Finn rasped. That Knight left his duty post to attend to his own worthless problems? He’d take a millennium there because he had a lot of problems.
"Princess, I can help you select one of your finest warriors to guide you till the weirdo comes back, if he comes back." He offered. "Just say the word."
Laurel saw the determined expression on his face. It was still quite new when others would go out of their way to make her comfortable.
If only her father had let her see this part of her Kingdom before the raid, she’d not have felt so alone while in prison.
She made a small bow to the young. "Thank you for your concern, warrior Finn, but I’d just wait for my weirdo knight to feel better. He’s actually good at what he does."
Finn’s face heated up and he rubbed his neck, resisting the smile tugging on his lips. A royalty bowing to a less important person like me was a huge honor. "He does? Oh well then, let’s hope he doesn’t slack off again."
Laurel nodded in agreement and continued to the quarters of Sir Darren. Zeldris would only return to her side when he wants her, she’d never force him.
