Chapter Two Hundred-Seventy-Nine – Trust
Stefan didn’t know what his reaction should be.
The witch who’s to visit High Mountains first had visited his mate by evening and the warriors said he was only a normal wolf, with nothing off.
He might’ve masked himself like a normal wolf to get in unnoticed, the warriors couldn’t even remember what he looked liked.
Stefan sent a warrior to the Green Valleys’ Lead Warrior’s quarters but now, he received word from Sorren that his friend had passed the night at his place.
How fast did that witch move? What did he see Laurel for? These were questions Stefan couldn’t immediately get and it made him panic, in the inside.
On the outside, he hurriedly wrote down notices, with Beta Cade. The Beta noticed the Alpha didn’t concentrate but left him to it so he wouldn’t cut the little flow he had.
All the Beta knew was that Prince Sorren had a witch ’friend’ that moved suspiciously, which was to be expected from the witch folks.
The only troubling things were Sorren having a friend, the friend being a witch, and that the letter the friend sent had come from High Moon Kingdom.
A witch which had been staying at High Moon Kingdom? Cade couldn’t think of anything more absurd. That was the last place they could survive in.
This witch must be playing some tricks on Sorren, and depending on how high Sorren’s guard was with friends, he wouldn’t notice the tricks.
"We’d go to High Mountains and join Sorren in having tea with this witch." Stefan decided. "I hope you don’t mind." He left the table and walked out of his study.
