Chapter Two Hundred-Fifty-Seven – Request
Laurel tried wrapping her head around Zeldris’s words, they had returned to Green Valleys with no cousin and without formally telling Sorren they were leaving.
All Zeldris made her understand was that the cousin wasn’t a solution anymore, she probably didn’t exist.
Laurel didn’t think Zeldris will be silly to have her search for an imaginary cousin for long and construct a story around it. It couldn’t be his imagination.
He also hadn’t let out how that Elder concerned anything that happened. Laurel felt she was in square one again.
He had returned to the prison to stay with Bebe, so Laurel stayed at Valkyrie’s quarters thinking of her next action.
A maid ran into the hall when she almost dozed off.
"Princess, the Lead Warrior of Black Claws is here on an impromptu meeting with you. Should I let him?"
Laurel stared at her blankly. What special news did the Lead Warrior need to tell her? There was no pressing issues now. "Let him in, dear."
Laurel’s eyes closed when the maid left, they were jolted open when she heard someone clear their throat. "Lead Warrior Baxter, good news, I hope?"
The Princess thought back on what she must’ve done wrong. The Rolling Stones feeding had been handled.
She sent the first batch of supplies yesterday and today, two more will be sent for this week.
