Laurel didn’t think of that problem till now.
How’d she get Stefan to understand that Zeldris wasn’t a witch but knew things about magic and wanted to help?
Wouldn’t the older brother further panic if Zeldris did something painful to Sorren? Sorren would even act like his life was leaving him, making things worse.
Zeldris noticed the Princess now hesitated to take him to the palace. "I can really help him... not that I want to but..." he assumed the Princess hesitated because she didn’t trust his capabilities. "We can ask Darren then."
Laurel noticed his sad expression, she sighed. "Forget it. You even said it’s not a sure fire way to save Sorren. If after the Sorren, it doesn’t work, they could kill you."
Zeldris froze, that possibility scaring him.
A maid rushed into the hall. "Princess, Jessika said to inform you that she had sent the tonic soup to the palace and its quiet so the matter must have been settled."
Laurel noticed the confused tone the maid spoke in, as she didn’t know what matter was being settled.
"Thank you." Laurel replied and the maid left.
Zeldris huffed. "See how Jessika quickly made the soup for him, but when I needed the healing for my eyes, she said it’d take a while."
Laurel smiled. Healing tonics did take a while. Jessika must’ve put her all into making the one for Sorren under short notice.
