Chapter 218: Blatant Lie
Chapter Two Hundred-Eighteen – Blatant Lie

Stefan nodded, looking back at his mate. "I’m glad you made friends. I’m not glad that the Rolling Stones Alpha made us an enemy but if she’s your friend, it’s still fine."
Laurel sprang up from her seat. Why was he suddenly treating her like a child? "I’m not friends with that Alpha."
"But did you meet up with her?"
Laurel hesitated. She couldn’t say no because The Lead Warrior saw her walking in from outside.
"Yes, because she sent a notice that she kidnapped a member of my pack. The little girl Prince Sorren brought back from High Moon."
Stefan frowned. That girl?
Sorren had told him about the girl later. How she was a victim of King Asher’s experiments and barely remembered her past.
He also explained that Laurel’s meeting with King Asher was to free the girl from his grasp. Stefan was still shocked on how she had pulled that off.
"I see. So she used the girl to lure you out in order to frame you for this." He tossed the letter to the ground.
Laurel glared at it. Its contents were blackmail, she knew. The Rolling Stones Alpha was trying to threaten her with the actual truth they shared, that she knew that Stefan would face a threat.
