It’s been almost two hours since the Prince began writing a new notice. Dylan wondered what it said, but he knew he wouldn’t dare read it.
Still, his heart warmed that it’s probably a death sentence for Lady Cara, not that he wanted her dead exactly.
Dylan felt himself slowly drifting to sleep, but just then, Sorren tapped his leg gently. The warrior rose from the ground, rubbing his eyes.
Sorren studied him intently, before asking. "My brother hasn’t gotten an alliance with Damancas yet, right?"
The sleep that’d been rearing its stubborn head in Dylan, vanished the moment his ears heard Damancas and his brain processed it.
Why should the Alpha try to get such a dangerous alliance? That would be harmful.
Yet the benefits remained greater. And Dylan knew the Prince was all about the greater good.
"Your highness, why do you want to know about— I don’t think so. It’s only Green Valleys that have an alliance with them." Dylan left the ground. "Do you want one?"
Sorren nodded, turning back to his notice. "I could use Black Thorn, our werewolf community, to get the alliance."
Dylan’s brow squeezed together. Wasn’t Black Thorn still under Black Claws? But perhaps the Prince had a way of bypassing it, like Green Valleys was accepted despite being under Black Claws.
"How do you want me to help, your highness?"
