Chapter Hundred-Twenty-Six – A Witch
Stefan froze on seeing the young man close to his mate. Something stirred in him but he held himself.
He released his hand from the door knob and tried advancing but a cladded figure came before him.
"Don’t take another step." The voice was female and calm but had authority. "Second Prince of Damancas is having a private meeting with the Princess of Green Valleys."
That was Stefan’s point. Why did a Prince of Damancas come all the way from there and didn’t stop by his place first?
He had thought it was to intimidate Laurel or force her to sign some kind of treaty now she recovered her pack.
He clenched his fists. But it seemed to be the opposite. He wasn’t needed. She didn’t need him.
"When you’re done, I’d appreciate the Prince paying me a visit as well." Stefan faked a smile, before leaving them.
Now he’s done it. Prince Kiad slowly left Laurel and replaced his butt on his seat. Now he had garnered the Lycan Alpha’s attention!
His plan had been – deliver the message, flirt a bit, then return home – but now, he’d have to make a detour to a Lycan first. One that didn’t seem happy with him.
He glanced at the witch by his side. If she was with him, it’d make him more confident.
Laurel returned to her seat, wondering what the hell just happened. Did the Prince try to seduce her? Surely he wouldn’t be that basic.
