Was it weird? Laurel held her face, looking down. Was it weird that she didn’t feel any sorrow even after hearing how her mother had died?
After listening to Sorren, all Laurel could feel was warmth. Warmth that her mother actually had been trying to save her and didn’t abandon her.
As for Sorren’s mother, all Laurel could think about was how aggressive she must be to kill someone in front of her child even if she thought the person tried killing him.
And the reason it was said that it’s a Lycan that killed her mother was probably because it was a Lycan Kingdom’s Luna that killed her.
She stared at Sorren for a while. So his mother was the reason these all started?
Her father’s retaliation and her abandonment, then her father’s maltreatment to her followed by Stefan’s raid and her torment.
Did Stefan know about this yet treated her badly?
"Your mother hated the Liberation squad? Did you know why?" Laurel asked, her back turned against Sorren. For all she knew, the Liberation squad only hated Lycans that did wrong.
Sorren rubbed the horse, absentmindedly. "I have no idea but Liberation squads always viewed Lycans as the enemy. They were created by werewolves anyway."
Did he mean his mother killed her mother because she assumed she wanted to kill her son for being a Lycan? Laurel shook her head, not wanting to overthink.
What had been done, had been done. It had happened and now, both mothers were dead. Fathers too.
