Zeno turned to Sorren, wearing a deep frown. "I am."
Laurel looked from Sorren to Zeno. There was definitely unspoken tension in the air, though she couldn’t place it.
What’s up with this Lunaria? And bred Lycans? Did he mean forcefully or mates breeding?
Sorren finally looked away from Zeno. "Bred Lycans? I didn’t think they were still around even after the practice stopped."
"Where did you expect them to go to? The practice stopped only fifteen years ago." Zeno looked away from him as well.
It made Laurel exhale that the tension was gone. "So werewolves and Lycans live together in your pack?"
"Those don’t matter where I came from." Zeno turned to them again. "What Asher is doing is wrong."
Laurel raised her hand. "No argument there. He nearly killed me when I saved a werewolf girl from his clutches. He’s crazy—" she stopped when Sorren looked at her.
"Still, your pack, Bloody Moon Pack is currently under the King." Sorren spoke. "You’d put your Alpha in serious trouble if Asher realizes who orchestrated this."
"He’s not my Alpha. Haven’t you heard of Bloody Moon Pack?" Zeno turned to Laurel.
She held his gaze. She should know about them, right? But strangely nothing was forthcoming.
