Chapter Seventy-Four – Alert
Laurel frowned. She had already made up her mind to stay with the horse. What kind of situation was Sorren putting her in?
Waking up everyday to see his face, her confidence would be washed away before she returned back to the maids who made her feel useful.
"Alright then." Sorren left were he sat and entered a room. "You two, share a room. That’s fine." He closed the door.
Stefan rubbed his face. He surely saw the smirk playing on his brother’s face. "This place is very cold at night."
Laurel frowned. Was he trying to waver her resolve to stay in the stable? "Stay in the room. I’d be in the stables."
The Alpha turned at her. "Did you forget you’re a princess or you really wouldn’t mind?"
She reddened in embarrassment. He was trying to shake her resolve so she’d stay with him, wasn’t he? "Don’t fight it." Elma whispered. Laurel scoffed at her loudly.
Stefan sighed on hearing her scoff. All their conversations always ended like that. "I’d be off to greet the King. Make yourself comfortable."
The princess watched him leave. She should make herself comfortable where?
Sorren hurried out of his room. Laurel blinked and he was gone. These Lycans were still too fast for her eyes.
As she placed her bag to the ground, Sorren sped back, startling her. "Where did you run off to?"
