Chapter Twenty-Three - Her brother
It was strange. Laurel stretched her body and noticed the pain had subsided. She turned towards her prison door. It was really strange.
"Where is Sigma and Dylan today? Why weren’t they coming?" she moaned.
It was strange that she was missing those two goof heads when she was finally having a peaceful, no drilling, and three-meals-a-day day.
Having three meals a day, probably because she was identified as Stefan’s mate by Sorren, felt like some upgrade.
But she was still in prison so she didn’t cheer too much. It was just her first day since the incident so things could get even worsen.
Like the universe wanted to prove her right, the door to her prison opened and Jade walked in.
She was the last person Laurel wanted to see after last night. Another major reason Stefan would want to kill would be because he loved Jade.
Laurel got anxious as Jade slowly marched to her. Her body quavered when her hand pulled her face to hers.
Could it be, by any chance, she overhead the conversation last night? Did she now know who she was to her fiancé? Jade wouldn’t spare her, it was over.
"I just came to tell you that I’m no longer the one suffering, little shit. I’d be getting married soon after the Lycan Packs Meeting." Jade bragged.
Laurel couldn’t see how that was her problem. If anything, Jade was the one at a disadvantage as her husband’s mate would be alive while she claimed happily married. It would be weird.
