Chapter 194: Multiple Thoughts
A white wind blew through.
The peaceful city began to crumble from the edges. The once colorful world gradually lost its hue. Buildings collapsed. The asphalt cracked and split apart. The atmosphere shook with ominous vibrations. The world was falling apart— all because of one person's death.
In the midst of this collapsing world, Lee Sa-young carefully held the limp body in his arms. The lifeless form swayed helplessly with his movements. He wanted to pull out the sword that had pierced the body, but he didn't want to cause any unnecessary pain. Even though he knew this wasn't reality.
Lee Sa-young sat Cha Eui-jae on his lap, supporting the body. Cha Eui-jae's head, now devoid of strength, slumped down onto his shoulder. His hands were soaked with bright red blood. The wet sensation was unsettling.

Lee Sa-young rested his cheek against Cha Eui-jae's gray hair. White ash rained down. He muttered to the person who could no longer hear him.
"Do you know what's really annoying?"
"..."
"Why did you do this? What were you thinking when you did it..."
The ideal world that another version of himself had carefully crafted was collapsing, revealing the real one. The towering skyscrapers had turned into ruins, and the neat streets paved with asphalt and tiles were now covered in dirt, dust, and white ash. There was no trace of intact buildings— only ruins remained. A desolate wind blew but soon stopped. A perfect silence settled.
How had Lee Sa-young endured in this ruined world, left all alone without Cha Eui-jae? He had probably thought it over and over again. Dreaming endlessly of a happy world where the apocalypse never came, a world where Cha Eui-jae didn't have to die, a world where he didn't have to save the world. A peaceful world where no one knew Cha Eui-jae. He must have thought about it for so long that the imagined world became more vivid than reality.
He must have dreamt of the possibility.
