Chapter 158: The One Hidden in the Gaps
Shortly after, they sat across the table from each other. The only difference from earlier was that Lee Sa-young had taken the seat where Kkokko had been, while Kkokko now sat beside Cha Eui-jae. One arm resting behind his chair, Lee Sa-young traced the rim of his cup slowly with his index finger.
"...So, to summarize."
Gulp. A swallow. The finger stopped. A lethargic voice murmured.
"You noticed that there's someone else inside me."
"Yeah."
"And you came looking for Hong Ye-seong to figure out what's going on..."
His black finger precisely pointed at Kkokko.
"And that chicken bastard is Hong—"
"Wait, wait."
Cha Eui-jae quickly reached out to clamp Lee Sa-young's mouth shut as he half-rose from his seat. His violet eyes narrowed. He put a finger to his own lips with his other hand and whispered, "Shh," as though to emphasize his point.
"We can't say that outright. There's still a lot to hear."
They hadn't yet figured out how to resolve this. They couldn't just send the otherworldly Hong Ye-seong back without solving the problem.
