Chapter 1100: I Missed You
Chapter 1100: I Missed You
The Battle for the Throne had given the eleventh-order powerhouses a clear ranking, allowing them to see the gaps between themselves and others. If they wanted a chance to ascend to Emperorhood in the future, they would need to work even harder.
For Tang San, killing the real Jin Miaolin would have been the simplest path to ensure nothing untoward happened. But he would never do something like that. The Blue Gold Tree clan had certainly grown strong due to him, and they owed him plenty, but at the same time, it was Jin Miaolin's status that had allowed him to accomplish many things that would have been otherwise impossible. When the day came for him to truly leave, it would also be the day the real Jin Miaolin returned to his kin.
Without waking him, Tang San silently teleported away and returned to Kali City. He did not wish to delay even for a single moment, and he went straight to Mei Gongzi's side.
Mei Gongzi was also in the middle of meditation.
The Battle for the Throne had been deeply meaningful for her as well. Thanks to the Shadowfiend Sword, she had been able to bring out a sliver of the true power of the Asura Sword, and she was getting closer and closer to making this transcendent divine item truly hers.
Facing stronger opponents again and again, and igniting her bloodline power each time to summon the power of the divine sword, had drawn her and the sword closer. Each time, she brushed the threshold of an even higher level of existence. So, the moment she returned, she had entered seclusion to cultivate.
Though Mei Gongzi was on paper the final victor of the tournament, she knew well in her heart that the gap between her and Tang San hadn't closed; if anything, it had actually widened further. Tang San had reached the final round of the tournament without even using his most powerful transcendent bloodlines, and the only reason he hadn't defeated her was that he had been unable to let her be hurt. Meanwhile, even the White Tiger Demon Emperor had refused to fight him. That alone spoke volumes about the extent of his strength. Only through greater effort could she hope not to drag him down in future battles.
Tang San's concealment skills had also improved. Even as he teleported next to her, Mei Gongzi sensed nothing, deep in meditation as she was.
He didn't disturb her; he merely sat nearby, silently watching her serene face.
She was wearing a simple, casual outfit made from the finest silk. The slightly oversized silver-gray loungewear draped softly over her graceful figure.
Tang San felt his heart grow calm just watching her like this.
Ever since he had left Kali City to travel and seek his chance at becoming an Emperor, his nerves had been taut the entire time, especially during the Battle for the Throne. Every day had been filled with challenges, deception, and diplomacy among Emperor-level powerhouses. It had been a constant test. He could not make one single mistake, or everything he had built would have come crumbling down.
Everything had gone smoothly, yet the constant pressure had drained him deeply.
But now, sitting beside her, gazing at her peaceful face and basking in her familiar aura, Tang San felt that everything he had endured was worth it. If he could protect her well, stay by her side, and be with her safely, then that would be enough.
Despite the hardships, this second life now felt beautiful.
He sat in silence, watching her, even forgetting the passage of time. Only when her eyelashes fluttered and she stirred awake did he release a trace of his aura to avoid startling her.
Mei Gongzi's eyes opened swiftly. When she saw Tang San sitting nearby with a gentle smile on his face, her expression shifted rapidly.
She pouted and tried to frown. But she couldn't hold it for long. Her eyes reddened slightly, and though she still pouted, she reached out her arms toward him.
Tang San drew her soft body into his embrace. In that moment, there was no trace of her usual coldness or regal authority. She was simply a tender, affectionate young woman.
She clung tightly to him. Here in Kali City, they were finally safe, and there was no longer any need to restrain themselves. They could embrace freely. What could be more beautiful than this?
They held each other for a long time, silent, until their bodies were filled with one another's scent and warmth.
"I missed you," Mei Gongzi said in a choked voice.
"I missed you too, my love."
"Nope. You lost the match. Call me Big Sister Mei."
"Alright, Big Sister Mei."
"Did you finish dealing with everything?" she asked softly.
Tang San nodded. "Pretty much. The assignments are done, and the emissaries are all on their way. As for your side, I've arranged for one Nymph King elder to be stationed here. He should arrive soon. As for Jin Miaosen, I've asked her to remain in Skytree City to guard our foundation. I probably won't be returning there anymore. I'll help you construct the Life Tower here in Kali City. When I come to formally propose, everything will be ready. I'll bring a group of ninth-order Blue Gold Tree clan members over to be stationed in both Kali City and our overseas Skytree Realm. Since the names are practically the same, we'll just call it an expansion, hehe. We will have them gather life energy for our human race."
"When are you going to propose, then?" Mei Gongzi's beautiful eyes shone brightly.
Tang San smiled. "I won't be leaving right away this time. I want to scout out the overseas area first, to make sure everything's ready. When that's done, I'll return to the Blue Gold Tree clan with the official envoy."
"You're not leaving now?" Mei Gongzi was overjoyed, forgetting all her earlier sulking about his absence. She looked like an excited little girl.
"Not for a few days, no. I'll stay with you."
Tang San smiled.
He had been away from Kali City for too long. It was time to inspect the progress of Skytree Realm's construction, and more importantly, he could begin testing the preparations he had made.
After the Battle for the Throne, Tang San understood that his and Mei Gongzi's time remaining on Planet Falan was growing short. The "opportunity" he had mentioned to Su Qin was, in fact, the arrival of the Asura Sword and the Sea God's Trident.
When those two transcendent divine items descended, the time for their final breakthrough would arrive. At that moment, not even the entire plane could stop them.

An hour later, Tang San and Mei Gongzi arrived at the eastern seashore, holding hands. As they gazed out at the endless sea, a faint golden aura surrounded them—the power of faith from the sea, naturally drawn to Tang San's divine presence.
Tang San did not rush to absorb the faith energy. His cultivation was already high. Reaching the threshold could trigger a tribulation at any time, and he had not yet finished his preparations.
Holding Mei Gongzi's hand, he felt a profound peace in his heart. This feeling was the most precious and comfortable of all.
"Come on, let me show you something," Mei Gongzi said excitedly.
"Alright!"
Silver light swirled around them, and in the next instant, the pair vanished into thin air. When they reappeared, they were already on Crescent Island.
Looking at the island, Tang San found it nearly unrecognizable.
The island itself was naturally the same, but there were far more buildings and people now. In addition to that, massive sea bridges extended in at least three directions toward the horizon. These bridges, supported by giant trees, stretched as far as the eye could see.
The sea below was calm and clear like a lake. Occasionally, sea creatures would leap across the bridges, spraying whoever was walking across with seawater.
This Skytree Realm felt like a true paradise floating upon the sea.
