Chapter 967: Walking Freely under the Sun
In VIP Room Eight, Tang San and his companions made no further bids, almost as if they'd simply come to liven up the atmosphere before sitting back and relaxing. The dragon race in VIP Room Ten also fell completely silent, showing no interest in the subsequent items on offer. Even so, there was no shortage of items to interest the various VIPs; different beings had different needs, after all, and not a single piece went unsold.
By afternoon, when items better suited to human development—such as those that could improve energy purity—came up, Tang San would place bids and win them. These would help him continue to build up the elemental seas in the human world later. However, the vast majority of lots in this auction were still weapons, armor, and heavenly materials directly used to strengthen the body. The things he needed weren't as numerous.
Nevertheless, as the day's auction concluded and everyone moved to rest, it was clear: the highest total bid of the second day came from Tang San's VIP Room Eight. The wealth of the Blue Gold Tree clan once again entered the spotlight of every powerhouse present.
"Come, let's go get the items we won these two days," Tang San said as he rose and walked out.
The elders quickly followed. The Grand Elder whispered, "But what about the dragons... Will they...?"
Tang San waved him off. "Don't worry about that."
In front of so many Emperors, and within the Ancestral Court no less, no matter how displeased the dragon race was, they wouldn't dare act rashly. Even if Xu An'yu had already become Lord of Crystal City, which he hadn't, both sides would have been equal here in the Ancestral Court. With things as they stood, Tang San was actually at a slight advantage status-wise.
As they exited the VIP Room, the noise outside was already deafening. Compared to the first day, the bidders were clearly more fatigued. Although participating in such a grand auction was a rare and invaluable opportunity, two days cooped up in these crowded conditions was no picnic.
In the few hours of free movement and rest, everyone took the chance to stretch their legs.
