Soul Land 5: The Rebirth of Tang San

Chapter 843: Allies

At this point, Huo Quan was on the verge of tears. Although he didn't know much about Tang San, he was certain that the person before him was indeed a god. Even if he wasn't an extremely powerful god right now, the fact that he held a divine seat was undeniable. And Tang San was right: only a god could solve the issue with the Fire God's Scepter.

The moment Tang San used the power of the Sea God to suppress the Scorching King, Huo Quan made his choice without even thinking about it.

As for whether Tang San had nefarious intentions, he was not too worried. This was the Magma Red Sea, after all. Even though Tang San was a god, Huo Quan wasn't afraid of him here. At the very least, he could protect his home. Moreover, as the Sea God, Tang San wasn't exactly an enemy of the Fire God; their domains were simply too different, and the Fire God's power would neither help him nor threaten him. Thus, Huo Quan wasn't worried about Tang San coveting their divine item. Under these circumstances, if an exchange could help restore the Fire God's Scepter, it was the best possible outcome.

Tang San looked into Huo Quan's earnest eyes and said, "As I mentioned earlier, I am willing to help your clan without asking for anything in return. You heard the Scorching King say that humans on the Daemon Continent are treated as slaves and vassals. Despite their large numbers, they lack innate cultivation abilities and can only struggle to survive under the oppression of demons and nymphs. Though I come from another plane, I was originally human and I am human now as well, and before I leave this world, I want to help humanity here gain the ability to defend themselves and thrive. I want them to become strong. My journey across the Endless Blue Sea has been in search of a way to provide humanity with these gifts.

"When I discovered the Magma Red Sea, I had a realization that might allow me to do exactly that. But that's something for later; for now, I want to tell you that I understand your concerns, and here's what I am thinking. First, I can help stabilize the divinity of the Fire God's Scepter. I am unable to fully restore it to its former state, at least for now, but I can most certainly restore it to a good extent. A price will have to be paid, but that doesn't matter. If you allow me to cultivate here in this environment full of fire energy for a while, I should be able to recover. Second, I hope to forge an alliance between humanity and Firedawns. Of course, humans are weak now and may not seem like much in your eyes, but I believe that, in time, humanity will grow strong. I hope your clan will stand by humanity's side as an ally in times of need. And I promise that once humans grow strong, we will stand by your side as well."

Hearing Tang San's sincere words, Huo Quan's expression grew even more excited. "That's—that's certainly not a problem. You mentioned something about leaving this world. Does that mean you intend to return to your former divine realm?"

Tang San nodded. "Yes, once I recover my cultivation, I will return to my former world. That was part of my promise to the planar ruler of this world. Otherwise, it would have never allowed me to pass my divine tribulation."

"Does your former divine realm have a Fire God?" Huo Quan asked eagerly.

"Of course, there is."

Huo Quan's voice trembled as he asked, "Then could you ask your Fire God to watch over our clan? We would pledge eternal faith to him."

Tang San thought for a moment and said, "I can certainly introduce you, but if you want to go in that direction, you will face several challenges. The biggest one comes from Falan Planet's planar level. This world is incredibly strong, and I'm sure you've sensed that. While there are no gods here, powerful beings can cultivate to the twelfth order using its abundant resources. Assuming no planar suppression, some would reach even higher. But the planar ruler of Falan is wary of strangers, and if it has the opportunity to transform this plane into a divine realm, then it will definitely want to be independent. In such a situation, if an external divine realm intervenes and tries to claim its inhabitants as followers, do you think the planar ruler would allow that? You'd be in grave danger. Furthermore, the Fire God of my world may not align with the powers you worship. There are differences between fires. That's why I wouldn't recommend switching your faith, even if both are Fire Gods—the differences could be quite significant."

Huo Quan felt rather despondent. "Then what should we do?"
