“Humans, huh...” Yula muttered wryly. Her frown lingered, showing he couldn’t stand the fact that she had felt even a flicker of fear just moments earlier.
“Do you really believe you can defeat me as a human?”
Her lips curled into a mocking smirk, seemingly regarding Karyl with pity.
“You, of all people, should know why those who have challenged me before have failed. It’s because they clung to their condition.”
With that, Yula began walking slowly toward Karyl.
“Whether I’m human, a dragon, or a spirit... I will fight the gods in order to preserve the natural order of our world, and to protect its dignity.”
She shook her head.
“Godslaying? Sure, if that’s what your species needs for its so-called prosperity, then maybe the existence of gods is indeed flawed. But all your grand ideals amount to nothing more than cowardice, an excuse to stay comfortable, afraid to give up anything for true change.”

She pointed her crimson blade directly at Karyl.
“In the end, you’re no different from those who came before you. For a moment, I felt a twinge of fear... but you’re just another human who couldn’t break free from your mortal shackles.”
Despite her provocation, Karyl’s expression remained calm.
