The twilight of magic was likely a setting created to increase the difficulty of the latter half of the game, just like how the influence of the gods grew progressively weaker.
Of course, if I had corrupted my character, things might have been different.
At the unconscious thought, Ian nodded slightly. The Corruption DLC was like an expert-level package. Until the mid-game, one would have to make various efforts to avoid being discovered as a corrupted being.
