Hyked, who had been about to charge again, hastily raised his sword. A deep-blue darkness spread like ink from his body, then surged upward to form a rippling shroud around him.

The blast wave slammed into the shield of darkness.
Ian watched it all with a calm, observing gaze.
Lucia’s voice followed softly by his ear. “Yeah, I’m definitely not going anywhere near that thing. I’ll stick to ranged support.”
