Born To Rise In Konoha

Chapter 96

Saitama rubbed his messy hair, ignoring the nearby water basin. Instead, he ran his fingers through his medium-length hair, pushing it back so it wouldn’t obstruct his vision.

"Huh?" Just as he was about to leave the tent, he noticed a large pot of meat and a container of drinking water placed on the table.

"Who’s this considerate?" he muttered, raising his eyebrows as he tried to recall. "Did someone come by earlier? I was too tired to notice..."

Saitama tapped his temple with his right hand, lost in thought.

"Could it have been Fire? That kind of reckless guy would barge into my tent without asking." Shrugging, Saitama walked over, picked up the pot, and sat down on a chair.

Inside were some cold, steamed rice balls and a generous portion of meat—probably beef, nearly half a catty.

"Tastes decent, just cold," Saitama commented between bites, swinging his legs beneath the chair.

He was quite hungry and didn’t have much food left. In about ten minutes, he had cleaned the pot.

"Belch!"

"Half full... better not eat too much at night," he mumbled, patting his stomach as he stood up. Deciding to walk a few laps around the camp, he stepped outside.

The Konoha camp was under heavy guard that night. Patrols moved constantly—mostly squads that had arrived earlier and were currently doing double shifts due to the lack of reinforcements.
