The TV was placed directly across from Kaka’s bed, allowing her to watch comfortably while lying down.
Beside the bed stood a small cabinet adorned with several framed photographs. At first glance, they were all pictures of Saitama and Kaka.
From the photos, one could see the passage of time—Saitama had matured, while Uchiha Kaka had grown older.
The largest frame captured a moment from New Year’s Day. Saitama had come to visit and taken a photo with Kaka. In it, he stood behind her with a gentle smile, his hands resting naturally on her shoulders. Uchiha Kaka wore a kind expression, clearly content in his company.
"Mother-in-law, I’m about to head out on a mission outside the village. I wanted to let you know," Saitama said.
Uchiha Kaka’s pupils narrowed subtly, though her tone remained calm. "Alright, Saitama. Be careful. Don’t worry about this old woman—my body’s sturdier than you think."
"Understood. Please take care of yourself." Saitama nodded. He walked over to the bed, lightly adjusted the quilt, then turned and left.
"Ah..." After the door closed behind him, Uchiha Kaka let out a soft sigh.
Am I the only one who still sees him as a boy under eight years old?
Her thoughts drifted to the past, and she lost interest in the television. The screen before her seemed dull and distant.
