During the meal, Tan Jing curiously asked Chen Yang again about what the leader wanted from him.

Chen Yang couldn’t keep it secret forever, so after slowly nudging Tan Jing, he realized that Tan Jing didn’t know anything about Ma Jiantao.

She only judged by his clothing that he was a high-ranking leader.

The two finished their lunch quickly.

"Our boss is here, she’s in the back."

Upon hearing that Yang Ruoxi was there, Chen Yang walked through the restaurant to the back.

The back was the busiest area of the restaurant, with waiters and chefs bustling around.

Chen Yang looked around but didn’t spot Yang Ruoxi.

Finally, after asking a chef, he learned that Yang Ruoxi was in a small private room.

"This is our boss’s office," the chef pointed to the door of a secluded room.

"Thanks." Chen Yang politely thanked the chef, then began to observe the small room.

He was involved in the restaurant’s renovation from the start.

This small room wasn’t there originally; it must have been added later by Yang Ruoxi.

He had to admit, the shop looked more refined after just a few months.

Knock knock.

After looking around, Chen Yang raised his hand and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Yang Ruoxi’s voice quickly came from inside, and Chen Yang pushed the door open and entered.

Upon entering, he immediately saw Yang Ruoxi sitting at the desk, carefully sorting through some documents.

She seemed busy and didn’t even glance up when he entered.

"What are you busy with?"

Chen Yang approached with a smile and asked.

Hearing Chen Yang’s voice, Yang Ruoxi finally looked up.

"Chen Yang! It’s you! When did you get here?" Seeing Chen Yang, Yang Ruoxi’s face was full of surprise.

Chen Yang, equally happy, said, "I just got here. I haven’t seen you for ages. I wanted to see what you’ve been up to recently."

Yang Ruoxi was delighted, but hearing this, she pouted a bit.

"Oh, so you remember me after all? I thought you’d forgotten about me," Yang Ruoxi said in a somewhat grudging tone.
