Chapter 407 - 282: Extra Story of Adorable Babies Basket (8)
Su Zhen, dressed in a white skirt, and Su Yan, in a white shirt and black suit, stood at 1.7 meters tall, looking as if he had long legs, walking alongside the beautiful Su Zhen, making them a scenic view on the street.
"Wow, if only I had a brother like him, so handsome!"
"Isn’t that Su Yan?!"
"And isn’t that An’an next to him?"
Both of them were wearing sunglasses, but they were still recognized by people in the crowd, and soon they were surrounded by a few, then more and more people.
Su Zhen felt somewhat helpless towards these big fans; taking photos was one thing, but why did they have to keep pinching her face and rubbing her head?
Su Yan was also being pulled by people to take pictures.
Seeing Su Zhen having her face pinched by an uncle, Su Yan frowned, squeezed to her side, and protected her in his arms, "We are rushing to a shoot, please understand."
As soon as Su Yan spoke, there was an air about him that made it impossible for others to resist. Several female fans immediately formed a human wall. Although they might miss this chance forever, everyone courteously opened a path, just taking photos from a distance with their cell phones.
Su Yan immediately hailed a cab by the roadside and left. Su Zhen held her face with both hands, pouting, and complained, "That man pinched too hard! It was where I got hit yesterday."
Su Yan turned his head and saw her puffing her cheeks, looking so cute that he wanted to pinch her.
Su Yan initially wanted to take a morning walk with her, but now their plans were disrupted. After having breakfast, he took her to the set.
There were two child stars present at the location, a girl who looked about the same age as Su Yan, around fifteen, and an eleven or twelve-year-old boy.
As soon as Director Wang saw Su Yan and Su Zhen, he immediately introduced them: "Xiao Yan, An’an, this is Tang Moshu, my cousin’s daughter, and this is Ning Yuannan, who has shot a few commercials. It’s both of their first times acting in a movie, Xiao Yan, An’an you should teach them more."
Su Zhen just stared blankly at the two, while Su Yan unmodestly nodded his head; he was quite confident in his acting skills.
Tang Moshu had been smiling at Su Yan non-stop, and as soon as Director Wang finished introducing, she ran over, grabbed Su Yan’s arm, and pulled him to one side. Su Zhen, who was originally holding Su Yan’s hand, got jerked away.
"Su Yan! I really like you, I’ve watched every work of yours!"
Su Yan withdrew his hand and calmly said: "Thank you." Then turned to look at Su Zhen.
But he saw her still standing there dazed, making eye contact with Ning Yuannan, as if lost in thought. Su Yan frowned and sidestepped Tang Moshu to pull Su Zhen along, "Time to change clothes."
As Su Zhen walked, she turned to glance back at Ning Yuannan and then jogged to keep up with Su Yan’s steps.
"Do you know him?" As they entered the makeup room, Su Yan asked her.
Su Zhen shook her head.
"Then why do you keep staring at him?"
She seriously said, "I saw him always looking at me, so I looked back at him."
Su Yan looked down, buttoning his shirt, and said, "In the future, if someone looks at you, just pretend you didn’t see, don’t stare back at them."
"Okay."
They each went to the dressing room to change their clothes and continued with last night’s shoot.
Qian Linfei’s next scenes didn’t require her to interact with Su Zhen; she heard a piece of news that she wanted to inform the little prince about but was discovered by another maid and immediately killed by the Empress’s people.
Later, because of palace affairs, the Prince couldn’t protect Keke, and the character played by Ning Yuannan, the General’s son, protected and escorted Keke to escape from assassins.
The scene took place in an outdoor setting, and the two had to flee to a forest to avoid assassins.
Meanwhile, Su Yan was filming in another part of the imperial palace; he couldn’t wait to finish shooting, as he was very worried about Su Zhen being with that boy, knowing her carefree nature, she might easily be taken advantage of.
"Cut! Xiao Yan, what’s wrong? Focus!"
Su Yan came back to his senses, only then realizing he had forgotten his lines.
Tang Moshu, playing the Prince’s beloved jewel, had a crush on the little prince played by Su Yan, but the little prince was constantly distressed over Keke’s disappearance.
Su Yan refocused and finished today’s shoot around eight o’clock.
Because Su Zhen had a night scene, which involved portraying two people spending the night in the forest.
A bundle of fire was the only light in the night, Su Zhen was somewhat afraid of the dark, so her fear was convincingly portrayed, and her disheveled appearance made Su Yan frown watching from the sidelines.
Ning Yuannan tenderly protected her in his arms, "Don’t be afraid, I’m here guarding you, sleep peacefully."
Su Yan’s fists slowly clenched; even though he knew it was just acting, seeing her being embraced by someone else made him want to punch him.
Su Yan, impeccably dressed in his suit, stood there with his handsome, flawless face. Tang Moshu, increasingly infatuated, walked up to him and affectionately hooked his arm, "Su Yan, let’s go have a late-night snack later?"
Su Yan gave her a sidelong glance, withdrew his hand, and flatly refused: "I’m busy tonight."
"Why are you busy? An’an will be done soon, we can all go together. There’s a place with really good grilled wings! I’ll take you guys."
Su Yan wasn’t fond of small talk, just creating distance between them without a further response.
Once Su Zhen finished shooting, Su Yan immediately came forward to help her up, while Ning Yuannan’s agent also quickly came over for support. Su Yan could still hear him asking from a distance, "Yuannan, have you taken a fancy to that girl? Holding her hand and not wanting to let go."
Ning Yuannan didn’t speak, just smiled.
Su Yan heard it, his brows deeply furrowed, he didn’t like others coveting Su Zhen.
There was already an insurmountable gap between him and her, with one more person, she would be even farther away from him.
Su Zhen was just complaining about the mosquitoes here and didn’t hear the voice behind her.
Su Yan led her to his agent’s car, opened the door and sent her in: "Change your clothes first."
Then he stood outside the car door.
After a few minutes, the car window behind him opened, and Su Zhen poked half of her head out: "Su Yan, my hair is stuck."
Su Yan walked over, reached through the window, helped her free her hair, zipped up, and took her to wash her face.
As she scratched her arms and legs, he combed her hair, and soon she was a clean little girl again.
Su Yan was wiping water off her face with a tissue, seeing her constant scratching, he said: "Let’s apply some ointment in the car later."
At this moment, Tang Moshu and Ning Yuannan walked over, Tang Moshu knew that targeting Su Yan was not as good as convincing Shen Yian, as long as Shen Yian agreed, Su Yan would follow.
So, she looked at Su Zhen and said: "An’an, shall we go out to eat later?"
When Su Zhen heard someone calling her, she turned her head to look, but before she could see clearly, Su Yan turned her head back, wiped her face dry, and then let go.
Tang Moshu watched, feeling a surge of jealousy, wondering why he was so considerate and caring towards this little girl, but so lazy to even speak another word to her.
When Su Yan let go, Su Zhen looked at Tang Moshu again, and Tang Moshu repeated: "Do you want to go? Let’s eat some grilled wings, you must be hungry after shooting for so long?"
Su Zhen swallowed, but turned to glance at Su Yan, seeing his stern face, she felt like she got his answer, so she said: "...I won’t go." It pained her heart to refuse, she really wanted to go.
But it seemed like Su Yan didn’t want her to go, and besides, she was not familiar with Tang Moshu and the others, Su Yan had said not to wander with strangers.
"Really not going? The grilled wings there are really tasty! It’s very famous around here!" Tang Moshu tried her best to tempt her.
Su Zhen kept swallowing her saliva, but stubbornly shook her head, against her will she said: "I’m not hungry."
Su Yan was quite satisfied with her behavior, leading her away.
Inside the car, he turned on the light and applied ointment where the mosquitoes had bitten her, her skin was tender and she had scratched it red all over.
"There’s more on your neck." Su Zhen said, scratching her neck.
Yin Xiaojing arrived late, opened the car door and saw Su Yan helping Su Zhen with the medicine, a familiar scene, then sat in the driver’s seat and asked: "Is the shooting done?"
Su Zhen nodded, then asked: "Aunt Xiaojing, where did you go?"
Yin Xiaojing smiled and replied: "Auntie went on a date, do I look pretty today?"
Su Zhen, always sweet-tongued: "Yes! Auntie looks the best!"
Although she knew this was a child trying to cheer her up, Yin Xiaojing still loved hearing it, smiling broadly, starting the car.
With Su Yan around, she could still sneak out for dates; once Su Zhen grew up a bit, she guessed there’d be even more time for her to be lazy.
In the car, Su Zhen constantly looked like she had something to say but hesitated; she stayed silent until they got out of the car.
Yin Xiaojing hurried them back to the room, then rushed back to her own place to chat with her boyfriend.
Su Yan saw Su Zhen standing by the door perplexedly, not changing her shoes, and asked: "What’s wrong?"
Su Zhen looked at him pitifully: "Uncle, I’m hungry..."
Su Yan suppressed a smile, actually, he knew she was hungry when Tang Moshu asked her earlier. This little foodie had no resistance to food, it really troubled her to refuse Tang Moshu then.
"What do you want to eat?"
Seeing him agree, Su Zhen immediately cheered up and said: "Grilled wings!"
She had been drooling when Tang Moshu mentioned it and was too embarrassed to say so during the ride.
Su Yan patted her head, took off the slippers she had changed into, put on his dress shoes again, and led Su Zhen out the door.
"We can’t let Aunt Xiaojing know, she will scold us."
As she said this, her walk appeared somewhat sneaky, Su Yan watched, couldn’t help but smile, and led her into the elevator.
It was pitch black at night, so there was no worry about being recognized.
Su Yan didn’t want to take a taxi, preferring to quietly enjoy the feeling of holding her hand as they walked.
"Uncle, why didn’t we just go with them earlier?"
Su Yan raised an eyebrow, "I didn’t say anything, you were the one who said no."
Su Zhen immediately looked regretful: "I saw you were unhappy, and thought you didn’t want me to go! If I had known, I wouldn’t have refused."
Su Yan’s gaze turned towards the distance, the night becoming even more enchanting because of her presence.
