Su Qing followed Aunt Hong to Madam Fu’s private shrine. Madam Fu was a devout Buddhist, so she had built a small shrine at home to worship Buddha, where she spent most of her time chanting and copying scriptures.

Aunt Hong walked towards the inside of the shrine where the wooden fish was being gently struck. Madam Fu knelt on the cushion with her hands pressed together in prayer, her eyes closed as she recited Buddhist sutras from memory.
After hearing Aunt Hong’s call, Madam Fu opened her eyes after a moment, bowed to the Buddha statue in front of her, and Aunt Hong stepped forward to help Madam Fu to her feet. With Aunt Hong’s assistance, Madam Fu rose and turned to look at Su Qing, who had been standing quietly without speaking.
Madam Fu had a kind appearance and was dressed in simple clothes. Despite this, she exuded a noble air, graceful and luxurious.
Madam Fu walked towards Su Qing, her gaze tender, "It’s good that you’ve woken up. I heard from Ah Hong that you can’t remember your own name?"
Madam Fu took Su Qing’s hand and looked her over carefully, noting with some surprise that she was wearing a pair of black-framed glasses. Madam Fu glanced at Aunt Hong beside her, aware it must have been her idea, probably due to the influence of her own second daughter.
