The young man beside the middle-aged man nodded. "Yes."
The middle-aged man nodded and walked a bit further, then couldn’t help asking, "Professor Xie hardly ever goes to the lab now. What do you think he means by that?"
The younger man shrugged, a hint of barely noticeable jealousy flashing in his eyes. "Who knows."
The middle-aged man sighed, "Actually, his capabilities are evident. I had no objections to him being appointed as the deputy director of the lab."

But in fact, he didn’t care; he even admired Professor Xie and would have had no complaints if he had lost to him.
