Chapter 229: Taking a Bath Alone is Not Safe
As Xie Yanchuan approached, the air carried a slightly different scent, prompting Xu Jinzhi to involuntarily inhale and ask with some surprise, "Have you been drinking?"
Xie Yanchuan’s complexion was normal, but his reaction was somewhat sluggish, taking several seconds before he nodded, "Drank a little."
Although it was only a bit, Xie Yanchuan’s alcohol tolerance wasn’t great. His delayed reaction was a subtle proof that he had indeed drunk a bit too much.
"I’ll go take a shower first." Aware that he had been drinking and not wanting Xu Jinzhi to smell the alcohol on him, Xie Yanchuan said little else and turned to head to the closet for his pajamas.
"Didn’t drink too much?" Xu Jinzhi was worried; it wasn’t safe to bathe after drinking too much.
Xie Yanchuan shook his head, "It’s fine."
The truth was, he had drunk a touch too much, but Xie Yanchuan felt he could still control himself. Not wanting to lie beside Xu Jinzhi smelling of alcohol, he planned to shower.
Xu Jinzhi had already walked up to him and leaned in close, "Let me see just how drunk you are."
As he spoke, Xu Jinzhi braced himself on Xie Yanchuan’s shoulders, first drawing a deep breath at his chest, then moving closely in front of Xie Yanchuan’s face.
Xu Jinzhi tilted his head up slightly, looking at Xie Yanchuan who was watching him, and on tiptoe, pressed a kiss directly onto Xie Yanchuan’s lips.
