Chapter 95: The Eve of the Wedding
Xie Yanchuan tiptoed to close the door again, then headed off to school.
When Xu Jinzhi got up, she felt disoriented, as if she didn’t know what time it was. When she tried to move, a wave of soreness snapped her back to reality.
The events of last night replayed quickly in her mind, making it clear to Xu Jinzhi that her current discomfort was entirely due to her own "self-inflicted" actions!
Xu Jinzhi grimaced and opened her eyes to look around the bedroom. Seeing it quiet and unmoving, she knew that Xie Yanchuan must have already gone to school.
She slightly shifted to find a less uncomfortable position, then once again stayed still, closing her eyes as if to continue sleeping.
A few minutes later, Xu Jinzhi opened her eyes; she was now fully awake but still felt terribly sore and didn’t want to move.
Still, Xu Jinzhi got up. Already dressed in a proper set of pajamas, Xu Jinzhi went to the bathroom to wash up. While brushing her teeth and looking at herself in the mirror, she didn’t know what she thought, but she couldn’t help but laugh.
With no one else at home, Xu Jinzhi didn’t bother changing out of her pajamas and went straight out of the bedroom.
In the kitchen, there was breakfast prepared by Xie Yanchuan. It was already winter, and the breakfast would have gotten cold if left outside, so Xie Yanchuan had specifically kept it warm in the kitchen.
Sitting at the dining table, Xu Jinzhi ate breakfast while checking messages on her phone. Half an hour passed, and Xu Jinzhi had mostly finished eating and replying to messages.
