Chapter 100
Grayson, looking down at Dein, added casually, as if it were obvious,
"You might need me in the middle of the night. When that happens, you should call me right away."
Dein was taken aback, his jaw dropping in disbelief. Before he could even process what was happening, Grayson added with a smile,
"Maybe you’ll want to come into my room, too."
The sight of him blushing and smiling shyly was almost comical. Dein could only gape at him, speechless. He had been stunned by Grayson’s actions countless times before, but every time, Grayson did something even more ridiculous. Once again, Dein felt light-headed, and he pressed his forehead, closing his eyes, taking a deep breath. Getting angry and throwing insults wouldn’t do anything here. Having learned some tactics, he extended his hand as if to stop a dog, opening his mouth.
"Pretty boy, I think we need to keep some boundaries."
"We don’t need boundaries if we’re lovers."
"No, especially because we’re lovers, we need them."
Dein immediately shot down Grayson’s rejection without hesitation. As soon as the word "lover" left his mouth, he felt a sharp rejection rise all over his body, but he suppressed it and continued speaking.
"If we keep crossing these lines like this, I’ll get exhausted quickly. I’ve already crossed my limits enough as it is. Don’t invade my space any further, understand?"
Dein glared at Grayson intensely, making it clear that if he took another step, he wouldn’t stay quiet. Grayson silently looked down at his face.
After a few seconds of silence, Grayson sighed lightly and said, "Alright." Seeing the defeated look on his face, Dein felt his heart soften for a moment, but then he quickly regained control. Even if Grayson had saved Darling’s life, there was a limit. He had already put up with enough. There needed to be clear boundaries between where he could retreat and where he could not.
