Chapter 53
Naturally, Naomi linked arms. Wilkins, who had been watching them, hurriedly stepped forward.
“There’s a break room over there. Let’s have some coffee and chat.”
When he extended his arm and politely pointed in one direction, Naomi made a happy expression.
“Oh, how kind of you. Thank you.”
Naomi made a gesture of putting her hand to her lips, then took it away, and blew a kiss toward Wilkins. Everyone who was watching her lovely appearance felt their hearts melt and collapsed on the spot with a sigh. Leaving them behind, Naomi walked lightly to the break room with Grayson’s arm around her. The men who had been staring blankly at their backs finally opened their mouths when they disappeared into the greeting.
“That kid really is a celebrity.”
“He was so crazy that I thought he was just a crazy guy, but Miller was Miller anyway.”
“I envy you for knowing Naomi Parker.”
“Should we try to get closer now?”
“Arthur, how are we going to please that crazy kid? That’s not what friends are for.”
It was a cliche, but it didn’t really resonate. They sighed deeply and trudged back to the gym. Their faces were blank, as if they had just woken up from a vain dream.
“Oh, it’s hot. The air conditioning here is too weak. It’s already hot, but isn’t it going to get even hotter?”
