Meanwhile, the house continued to collapse. Just when he thought there was no more time, the firefighters placed a ladder where Dane had been standing.
Dane handed over the dog first. When another firefighter received the dog from below, he finally stepped down one step at a time. And the moment he set foot on the ground, the building completely collapsed. At the same time, the firefighters rushed at him with shouts.
“Dane, Dayin!”
“Do you know how worried I was, you bastard? You!”

“Someone give Dane some oxygen, hurry up!”
The sight of his colleagues patting his shoulder, hugging him, and expressing their worries and relief flashed before Dane’s eyes.
