Chapter 22
The teammates were quite bewildered when they saw Ezra, who was usually calm and didn’t show much emotional change, return with a flushed face. What on earth is he doing?
“What, what happened? What’s wrong?”
“Why did it take so long? Did something happen with that kid?”
“What did that kid do to you? Tell me, we’ll all get revenge!”
The teammates immediately surrounded Ezra and asked him, but Ezra simply glared at Grayson and didn’t say anything.
“That kid screwed me over, that’s all.”
So what was that... ... .
The teammates were dying of curiosity, but Ezra didn’t seem to say anything more. The other guy had no choice but to come up with his own guess.
“He said he wouldn’t come, right? That’s why it took so long to bring him... ... .”
“That’s true.”
Ezra reluctantly opened his mouth. He spoke honestly to his team members who were curious about how he had convinced them.
“He was flirting with Beth and didn’t budge, so I told him as the team leader said. If he didn’t come, I would exclude him from the dispatch. So he thought about it for a moment and followed me.”
