Chapter 15
"Really...? Hey, Wilkins! Wilkins! Yeah, you. Come over here."
The chief, who had been tilting his head, called one of the group who was drinking and gestured for him to come. Wilkins, who had been drinking with the other staff, reluctantly lifted his beer glass and trudged over to them with an expression that clearly showed his displeasure.
"Yes, Chief. What is it?"
Wilkins threw a glance at ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) Grayson with a rather disapproving look before the chief spoke.
"Millar is looking for someone. You went into the mansion with your team back then, right?"
The chief introduced Wilkins to Grayson.
"This is Darius Wilkins. Wilkins, this is Grayson Miller, as you know. He’ll be working with your team from now on. Grayson, he’ll be your team leader."
Wilkins' face immediately contorted. His hands were spread wide as he looked down at the chief, his posture screaming 'What the hell is this?' Despite his blatant rejection, Grayson casually grabbed Wilkins’ hand and shook it without hesitation.
"Nice to meet you, I look forward to working with you."
Wilkins once again seemed dumbfounded, pointing at Grayson with his remaining hand and hunching his shoulders. The chief, trying his best to ignore the pleading look from Wilkins, patted their arms.
"Make sure you get along. Wilkins is a good team leader, so follow his orders, understood? Miller."
"Of course, I’ll do just that."
