Everyone returned to their dormitories to rest.

After everyone had fallen asleep, she, dressed in camouflage and wearing army boots, walked out of the dormitory.
In the corridor, she accidentally overheard Zhang Jingyue talking with a female soldier in the dormitory through the walls of the building.
Gu Xiaoxi instinctively stopped in her tracks and heard them say.
"I heard the regiment commander say that tomorrow there will be an exercise targeting new recruits. If someone fails, they will be kicked out of the Fourth Company," Zhang Jingyue’s voice said.
"You shouldn’t worry since the regiment commander gave you a heads up. All we have to do is prepare. Did he say what the exercise involves?" the other female soldier asked.
"I’m not worried about myself. Rather, I want to tell you that I’m planning to leave the Fourth Company," replied Zhang Jingyue with a joyful tone, as though she was talking about something exciting.
Gu Xiaoxi, standing at the dormitory entrance, originally thought to leave but couldn’t help feeling curious upon hearing this.
