Chapter 617 - 610
Wu sneered coldly and glanced at Ye Tian, who was holding the knife in the distance. "Aren’t you afraid that those two slashes just now could have landed on you?"
C hurriedly followed Wu’s pace.
The tornado that descended from the sky took two consecutive powerful attacks and couldn’t maintain its former grandeur. The little black dot became clearer as it drew closer—turns out it really was that bird creature. It was puzzling how this little fellow managed to reach here, a distance that was more than simply crossing a few mountains.
The green bird crashed obliquely into a mountain wall far away, with a thunderous bang, a large chunk of bleached stone wall fell from the mountain, green moss mixed with the small trees rooted on the mountain rocks also tumbled down. The stream was suddenly blocked by the huge rock, and the turbulent water splashing against the stone was exceptionally lively.
Ye Tian, holding his broadsword, looked at the rising dust in the distance with a steely gaze.
All of a sudden, the little black dot flew up from the ground, hovering in the air, but shot straight toward Ye Tian. Lightning-fast speed exceeded human vision, a swell of land surging along with the flying direction of the black dot also swept toward Ye Tian.
Seeing this somewhat terrifying force, Ye Tian grinned. "This bird creature is getting more and more formidable. I wonder if it still recognizes me, its makeshift dad."
A gust of wind came from the sky, revealing Little Green Bird’s outline more clearly. Ye Tian saw that it still looked as dumb as before, except the reddish traces of its youth that had been on its eyes were now gone. The way it flapped its wings seemed much more mature; the wings’ bending was much softer now, not the same foolish, forceful flapping as before.
The bird creature had grown up.
With a thud, Ye Tian was knocked to the ground by a great force, the broadsword flying out of his hand and falling to the ground. In the corner of his eye, Ye Tian saw the black knife shatter into iron fragments, scattering all over the place.
The green bird snuggling in his embrace seemed like a child who had not grown up, struggling incessantly in Ye Tian’s arms, wings flapping non-stop, giving Ye Tian goosebumps all over—absurdly mushy with a bird of all things.
"Alright, that’s enough."
