Since Neko-sensei had already briefed the teachers, it didn’t take long for them to grasp the situation after my concise explanation.
The first part of the plan I had devised was actually straightforward: divide and conquer.
After my discussion with Neko-sensei, prior to venturing into the dungeon with Matt and the others, she had gone to meet the headmistress so they could devise a way to not only bypass Deerheart’s order but also place teleportation runes around the academy.
So, in the event that things went south, we would be able to separate Deerheart and his drifter soldiers. I could also state with complete certainty that Deerheart wasn’t operating alone.
Aside from the demonic humans who assisted him in the novel, there must have been another variables that didn’t appear at this stage. That meant we also needed to eliminate that individual.
That was where Neko-sensei came in, whatever force was supporting Deerheart and remained hidden within the academy was her responsibility, so I didn’t have to worry.
I took in a deep breath as I sprinted down the stairs again. There was no time to remain idle or engage in discussion; everyone had to act on whatever vague information I provided.
’For now, let’s head to the administrative office,’ I mused, dashing out the front door.
The academy had become eerily silent, and the clouds were tinged purple as miasma caused some academy staff, especially those who weren’t awakened, to collapse. Some struggled to breathe, while others succumbed to hysteria. This wasn’t limited to just staff; students were affected as well.
During this arc, there were a total of six primary threats, and if I included Hari and the mysterious individual aiding Deerheart, the number rose to eight.
Deerheart was obviously the first. Then there was Carapace, the Sequence Five drifter he had summoned.
