Chapter 86. A vision
"Connection to Leonel’s surveillance feed lost," Lira muttered as the translucent screen hovering in front of her dissolved into shimmering particles, fading into the dim ambiance of the floating chamber.
Darren tilted his head with a wolfish grin. "Oh? Already? But that was interesting. The kid called me a bastard, didn’t he?" His golden eyes gleamed with amusement. "I like that. Seems he’s got some balls way bigger than that of most adults here. I want to pay him a visit."
"You cannot engage with other players at your current clearance level, Master," Lira replied, her tone firm yet respectful. "System restrictions apply due to your Tier classification."
Darren groaned, throwing his arms behind his head. "You know how mind-numbingly boring it’s been here? Everyone in here practically kisses my feet. It’s been nice, but It’s starting to be exhausting being this worshipped. Very boring" He chuckled. "It’s been forever since someone looked me in the eye without pissing themselves. I want to break that boy in... just for fun."
Lira’s eyes glowed blue as she accessed the data. "His survival probability against you is estimated below five percent. Your current power levels exceed the permitted threshold for PvP engagement. Combat will only be sanctioned if the target reaches Level 30 or higher."
Darren raised an eyebrow. "Five percent? Even with you holding half my power back?"
"Precisely," she replied without hesitation.
"Shit," he hissed under his breath, a grin still tugging at his lips. "Guess I’ll have to be patient. But he better not die. No one kills him but me."
He leaned back and stared at the ceiling, smirking as he folded his hands behind his head. "Let’s see how long he survives."
