Chapter 83. Skill Evolution
Outside, the sound of bullets ricocheting off metal gauntlets rang through the air. Gegee’s clone was recklessly firing at Lilian, most bullets missing her completely. Its eyes flickered open and shut, and its body trembled slightly, like a radio losing its signal.
Lilian saw an opening.
She clashed her gauntlets together like a warlord calling for war, then dashed forward at breakneck speed. Her silver hair streamed behind her as she soared through the air, landing a Superman punch directly to the clone’s flickering face. The impact sent it flying back, spinning and sprawling across the ground before crashing into a building, shattering its glass windows and disappearing inside.
Lilian didn’t wait.
She charged in after it, ready to land a finishing blow—when PUFF!—the clone vanished in a cloud of smoke. She frowned.
"What kind of human disappears like that?"
From one of the nearby buildings, a loud thud echoed. She looked that way and saw one of Gegee’s clones plummeting from a 12-story building. It hit the ground hard before disintegrating into nothing. With Gegee clearly losing control of her duplicates, they were breaking apart, unable to stay focused.
Meanwhile, in the empty hall where Gegee and Shin were, just below, Sylvia held her ground against another clone. At first, it had been tough, so much that when she missed her strike, it landed a punch to her gut that almost made her puke up every sweet potato she’d eaten. But now, its movements were sluggish. It missed its attacks, eyes barely open.
Without hesitation, Sylvia took advantage of the soft floor, skidding low with her axe held firm. She slashed upward with precision, right through the clone’s pelvis and splitting it in two before it vanished into smoke.
She rose to her feet, panting.
"Dwarf girl!!" Lilian’s voice rang out. Sylvia turned to see her approaching.
