Chapter 114: Attack on seth
When Zephyr stepped through the portal, just like he expected, the field was quiet and empty.
He didn’t bother looking around. He already knew— no one was here. They were either still hunting for their Source or had gone back to their clans.
So, he turned and headed to the place he had stayed when he was still part of Samantha’s squad.
When he arrived, it was quiet. Dust shimmered faintly in the air, proof that no one had been around in a while.
He walked to his old room, his thoughts blank, emotions dulled. He tore off what was left of the ragged clothes clinging to his body.
In the bathroom, he turned on the hot water and leaned against the marble wall. The warmth soaked into his skin, easing the pain and tension in his muscles.
But the weight in his chest didn’t fade.
Now, standing in front of the fogged-up mirror, he just stared.
The tap kept running. The room filled with steam until the mist hovered at his waist.
"Am I missing something?" Zephyr muttered.
