Chapter 464: Arc 6, - 80: A Frosty Farewell
In the centre of Jotou’s palm, runes appeared in the air in a ghostly light. For a split second, Jotou swore she could hear the beating heart of the ocean... she could describe it and yet still not comprehend it.
Her brows knitted at the runes that slowly began to disappear into the air. ’Irvette? Or Beauregard?’ Soon enough, Jotou held nothing in her hand.
"Hopefully Tiffy’s still on the water even though I let go of her hand. But we have bigger problems," Fumeko pointed to the new ships now approaching the iceberg.
They were not the most well-equipped warships, however they were enough to cause problems. Jotou looked around at the shipwrecks and realized there were functioning ships beyond the wreckage.
’I wanna make sure that I can get everyone I can, but Frost’s right... I can’t save them all; more than that, I can’t save myself if I do.’ "Get Tiffany onto the boat, I’ll zap-swim over."
Fumeko, who had her eyes glued on Beauregard, only now saw Jotou proper. "Does it hurt? You’re," she reached her hand out towards the burn wounds on the blonde, but then thought better of it.
"Yeah, let’s just get me to Aru quick."
Fumeko’s eyes softened upon continuing to survey her wounds. She sighed and glared over to her left, "What about her?"
Frost was still on her knees, taking deep breaths while cold mist exited from any part of her armour that got corroded by the acid.
"She’s helped us detective, I think it’s only fair to leave her be," Jotou replied.
"We might not get another chance is all I meant; there’s a lot of information that we could get," Fumeko sheathed her dagger. "You’re lucky today Frosty."
"Fuck off rat," Frost breathed out and gestured with a middle finger.
