Chapter 245: Arc 4, Act II, - 90: Scarlet Squall
Gale swerved left from the lightning and moved all the wind to his side. He winced; the blast enough to thrust the wind previously beneath him aside as the thunder echoed into the sky.
The blonde looked back down with her eyes shut and brought the sword to her face. "Crash, cling, cling, ting, ping, fring." Nothing seemed to hit her however. She opened one eye just in case.
A barrier made of the dusted debris and sand from below shielded above her, under the control of the Ashen Whisper to her left.
The crystalized shards rained down like glass, sharp edges and tiny fragments. "Thanks!" Jotou exclaimed and stood upright. Arabella’s eyes had already switched focus onto the man in the sky.
’I’m running low.’ Jotou sprinted away and Arabella took over. Sand rained upwards to her command, surging towards the figure- "BLAST!" A gust of wind burst down creating a transitory fountain of sand.
Illusions whizzed past of hummingbirds and dragonflies which Gale ignored, even the flying serpent that circled like a shark in the sky.
Asobi leapt over the rock and hid behind it, taking a step closer every second. She pointed her wand up and stuck her tongue out, "Still not close enough," she grumbled.
The dust shifted away from the winds and into Arabella’s control; like whips, sand lashed from the edge of her wrists. Arabella flung them up. "PSH! FUSH!" The whips were whipped away by the force of the gale.
The Encircling Gale regained his cyclones as the fractions of seconds passed by and they began enveloping around him. Fumeko blinked back up the cliffside only for her to notice no opening.
The whitish-green airstreams circled around him, covering him in a ball-like shell. However, the air-ball had limbs of its own that began lurching forth.
"BF! TF! CRF! RF!" Like bullets, the chunks of rocks from the chasm were shot down in a volley. Jotou held her blade up, Asobi took cover, Arabella shifted the sands above her and Fumeko blinked away.
The twisters swiped down and swept across the field, picking Arabella and Jotou up into the air without a moment to react. Jotou pulled her blade away, flinching her eyes to the pain of her bleeding and bruised fingers.
