Chapter 141: Arc 3, - 51: Another Day Forward
The dawn broke once more, sunlight beamed past the curtains—her eyes waxed open, blonde strands webbed over the pillow. Jotou took a breath as she stared at the ceiling.
The same ceiling she had seen too many times now. A small smirk alit on her face, "Kaleb. Daiyu. The funfair..." Jotou muttered, seemingly having greater memory of this dream than any of the previous ones.
Perhaps it was because it occurred several months ago as opposed to years. ’Having regrets is stupid. I have to live with that mistake. I just have to learn from it and try not to mess up again.
And if I do, I’ll try again. If I fall, I’ll stand back up. Nothing in this life makes sense; nothing has purpose unless you give it one. I can’t live on spite alone. So, I don’t think I will.’
Jotou’s head fell to her left—a purple headband atop messy long hair she saw. The brunette sitting at the side of the bed, removed the strands of hair stuck to her face.
’I need to have a goal, a purpose. Otherwise, I’m just living for the sake of living. Alright Jotou, you can do this all again.’ Jotou got up from bed, a soft smile still worn, "Morning."
"Mm... Morning," Fumeko grumbled, rubbing her forehead.
’Here comes the usual dialogue.’
Jotou watched as Fumeko winced, wrinkling her brows tight as she grunted holding her head.
"Meko? What’s wrong?" Jotou threw the sheets aside and paced over to the brunette’s bed.
"Just, a really bad headache," Fumeko shook her head, trying to ease the pins pricking at her mind.
Jotou’s eyes widened... ’It’s getting worse. Okay, time to do this all again. One by one, slowly, but as quick as possible.’
