Nora adjusted the cuffs of her pristine white sleeves, standing beside her twin brother, Noah, as they prepared to leave for the government meeting regarding the newly emerged B-class dungeon.
The Vale family’s presence in the meeting was crucial.
Their family’s influence and wealth made them one of the most powerful forces in the awakened world, and the government sought their support in stabilizing the growing dungeon crisis.
Despite knowing this, Noah wasn’t particularly excited about the meeting.
He had never enjoyed these kinds of discussions—the endless formalities, the dull speeches, and the suffocating air of politics.
’This is going to be such a miserable meeting. But since I will have Nora with me, it should be alright. I can leave everything up to her this time.’
Noah did not feel as worried as he usually would because he was not heading out alone...or so he thought.
Just as the twins were about to step out, a servant dressed in the Vale family’s signature dark uniform approached them, bowing respectfully before speaking.
"Lady Nora, your father has summoned you."
Nora’s brows furrowed slightly.
"Summoned me? What for?"
